I have loved this opera since hearing it in concert with The Cleveland Orchestra. This production did not disappoint me. The singing and music were ethereal, the story intriguing and the sets beautiful.

The opera was fantastic ! The venue- theater 16- was awful. Broken seats, others with dried gum on the seats, and speakers that rattle, vibrate, and detract from the singing performance.

Fleming is outstanding...

This was my first experience with the works of Antonín Dvorák and a masterpiece in Czech. No, it did not feel like 4 hours. The play was very interesting, Fleming was absolutely fabulous and her "Song to the Moon" was enchanting. Little I knew that she sang the same aria in her debut at the Seattle Opera in 1990. Piotr Beczala as the Prince and Dolora Zajick as the witch Jezibaba were very good. However my favorite character was the Water Gnome sung by John Relyea.

Movie was great, what we saw of it. We were moved from one theater to another that didn't have enough seats. Some patrons had to leave. During the film, sound was lost at times as was the picture. A real shame. The production, what we saw of it was awesome.

I think the concept is great, as it was a great experience. nice movie, less expensive than a live performance, and you will never get so close as on the screen at a live performance. Rusalka itself was hard for me to follow because of the Csezk language but still very nice. All the performers were great, and the orchestra was so nice. I think Id go again when an opera I am more familiar with, like in Italian is playing. Thank You
