A chorus of 160 voices maneuvering difficult Russian lyrics effortlessly. Kudos to METOP chorus. How ironic watching an opera about a Russian army invading another country as Putin, mimicking Igor, sends his storm troopers into the Crimea!

Great interpretation of Borodin's masterpiece - Ruined by the video producer

I wish I could tell the HD Live video producer that he / she is NOT filming an episode of NYPD Blue or Law & Order with the constant camera pans and zoom close ups. Dozens of extremely talented performers, at the peak o f their careers, appear on the set at times and the "producer" keeps focusing on close ups, pans, and artsy juxtapositions. Please, I want to have a similar experience as if I were in the audience at the outstanding Met (and was for over 10 years until I moved to Atlanta). Great operatic production ruined by overindulgent video production. Pity. However, still worth seeing for the new interpretation of the opera. RM

A wonderful reconstruction of the Mussorgsky-like opera as a psychodrama. Well sung. Well acted. Well played. "I will save Russia because I am not Prince Igor."

Excellent production and performance. All performers were excellent, choreography and set design added greatly to the spectacle. A rare opportunity to see an infrequently performed opera.

Great performance w/ thought provoking about the soul of the Russian people. They are very patriotic and passionate about their country . They also seem to move from great pain to great joy in a matter of hours. This is reflected in their literature and music! fascinating to watch and listen to a truly Russian Opera!
