It was brilliant! Particularly liked Ellen Wolford. The mad scene was pretty cool, too, though my partner-in-life says it lacked passion.

The Metropolitan Opera HD productions are top notch. I knew nothing about Peter Grimes and was thrilled by the voices, production, music, and compelling story. It's so fabulous to be able to see the BEST the world of opera has to offer in the comfort of your local theatre -- real time. The icing on the cake are the behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars, conductors, and Met Opera staff. The folks who are at the Met don't get those perks! If you've never been to the opera, this is the perfect way to take it on a test drive. The upcoming production of Fille du Regiment -- a French comedy -- would be an excellent starting point. Of course, you can't miss with La Boheme! Enjoy!

For us opera lovers, this was an extraordinary opportunity, as all of the Met HD broadcasts at the Regal are. I am so glad you are doing this. I hope the MET continues to send the operas in this fashion. Thanks. Joan Lorna Boewe, Richmond, KY

Peter Gelb is extraodinary!!!! The Met live HD broadcasts are a must see! I attend operas at the Met quite frequently and I must say, the movie productions are the next best thing to being there. One could argue that it's even better than being there because you see the actors closer than you could ever see in the Opera House. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!
The opera, Peter Grimes is truly brillant!
