Better than being there !! Cool closeups and behind the scenes action plus pop corn, coke and casual attire. Loved it all! Renee Fleming is fabulous and then some!

It was absolutely a wonderful experience and we will recommend it to our friends as well. We plan on going to the next performance when it is available. A great time was had by all.

Metropolitan Opera Opening Gala

A wonderful production with exceptional singing and acting by the singers. My only concerns were of a minor technical nature--there were a few dropouts during the first act, and the subtitles did not appear until well into the first act. The behind-the-scenes shots of breaking down and moving the sets was fascinating. The interviews were also well done and informative. The Met is holding to the high standards it has set for the last two years! I love the convenience of going to a local movie theatre for this kind of performance--I think it's even better than being in the opera house--bigger than life size.

Other than a few technical glitches (which were perhaps out of the control of local theaters) the performances were brilliant and the interviews during the intervals were great. The theater in Huntington Beach is a wonderful venue to see this type of production. Almost as good as being there in person.
