Elza van den Heever is the essence of Henry VIII's daughter and Joyce DiDonato's singing is the answer to "why opera?"

This was an all around sensational performance! There was not a weak voice in the bunch. The two ladies were glorious! And, Matthew Polenzani was wonderful. Hopefully, this will not be so rare in the future as Donizetti has too few operas as is.

This was a fabulous substitute for being at the MET to catch the performance live, Near flawless sing and wonderful portrayals of the 16th Century Royals. Costumes and set were splendid too.

This was my first time seeing a simulcast HD opera and I loved it! When I have attended the Met in person the performers were 1" tall but here they are bigger than life and so is the music. Splendid! Of course Joyce DiDonato is impeccable and so was the rest of the cast. Now I'm smitten and want to see all of them this way.

This is one of the best productions the Met has done in years. The cast is outstanding vocally and dramatically. DiDonato is one of the most fantastic artists of any age.
