we like attending the LIve in HD performances but only as encores. It seems this theater seems to have a blackout during the "Live" showing. The only thing I dislike is with the movie theater...they ALWAYS position it next to a LOUD movie; of course the loudness is always in the middle of a beautiful aria!!!

HI Thank you, Thank you Thank you. My very 1st, but certainly not my last time seeing operas in the movies. Being so close to the actors, scenery & costumes I felt It was performed in my living room. It was one of the best i have seen.

I was not an opera fan, but I may be now!

I've been to a few operas in my life, didn't love them. But last night, we went to see L'Elisir d'Amore at Regal Stonecrest Theater in Charlotte, NC. I really enjoyed the live feed aspect of it--from the patrons in NYC entering, finding their seats, sitting and waiting for the curtain to go up while we, too, were doing the same in our theater as were thousands of others around the world, to the behind the scenes interviews with the main characters, with the Met Director, a prop creator and singers in future operas--a coming attractions kind of moment. Loved it! Also loved watching behind the scenes activity as sets were changed between acts. There was an opera star narrating the event, doing the interviews and transitioning acts and breaks and interviews and whose name I do not know, but she did a great job, was genuinely enthusiastic about the performance, the performers, the whole opera scene. My only suggestion is to sub-title names of people a couple of times.

Fandango should not request reviews of movies that were not shown. Unable to see movie. Theater could not access satellite. Theater reimbursed cost of ticket ($18), but did not reimburse Fandango's charge. Fandango should credit my account with $2.
