Having seen Luciano Pavarotti in this opera several times, I was not sure I could really enjoy it without him. However, this was a fabulous production, in every way. Anna Natrebko was amazing, positively in fabulous voice. The baritone and tenor were great as well. And I loved the production. Beautifully sung but also beautifully directed with great sensitivity. Magnifique!

What's not to like!! Anna Netrebko was absolutely marvelous. She and Mariusz Kwiecien were a great couple. Not only were their performances top notch, but they truly enjoyed working with each other. You can see it in their eyes. Two great professionals enjoying having fun doing want they do best. The rest of the cast was more than excellent. A terrific performance and worth every penny of admission. Would go to see this again.

Lyrical, heartfelt and beautifully acted, L'Elisir d'Amore was just stunning. The principals were in great form and they just carried the production beautifully. The audience was riveted and despite it being a recording, there were live cheers and enthusiastic clapping all around. This is an example of the best kind of artistic sharing. I am 1200 miles away from NYC yet I was THERE to experience the performance. Can't wait for the others. I also hope to see some of the National Theatre Live productions from London this year.
