La Clemenza di Tito

A good production for the Metropolitan Opera. The voices are very good especially Elena Garanco as Sesto. The main problem was the theater at Union Square. There was this loud noise of a motor especially past the over hang. The noise interfered with the opera. The theater cliamed the noise was caused by a faulty air conditioner needed for the projection. It is better to see movies in another theater.

A Very Enjoyable Performance

Elina Garanca was especially good, both in voice and in acting. All of the other singers, including the chorus, performed very well. As primarily an Italian opera fan, I would normally skip this opera. However, I am glad I got talked into attending this performance.

A Feast for Ears & Eyes

For me, Barbara Frittoli was the most delightful actress. You didn't need to read the subtitles when she sang as her eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and graceful hands told the story. Her voice was exquisite. Not to make less of the entire cast, orchestra and conductor who were all excellent. If you like Mozart music and opera in general and have a chance to see this opera with this cast, don't miss it.

The voices are fabulous, esp Sesto. Very well done, easy to follow for a novice.
