Although the costumes where a strange missmash of styles and periods, the singing and the voices were more than glorious, simply divine. Plus, I just adore Mozart

This was a fabulous performance of Mozart's last opera, and I had never seen it before. What an experience. It was just breathtaking, and incredibly moving. The last play of Shakespeare is the Tempest, and the last opera of Mozart is La Clemenza, and they are the full mature gorgeous work of these masters. La C is Mozart's glorious farewell.

A good production for the Metropolitan Opera. The voices are very good especially Elena Garanco as Sesto. The main problem was the theater at Union Square. There was this loud noise of a motor especially past the over hang. The noise interfered with the opera. The theater cliamed the noise was caused by a faulty air conditioner needed for the projection.
It is better to see movies in another theater.

Wonderful cast, wonderful chorus. If you love Mozart, go! If you love opera, go! If you don't, ..... you might want to try it. The music is beautiful and the singing is awesome.

For the very first time seeing Opera in HD, I didn't expect much. I was totally blown away. You could see the expressions of the soloist, who sang with so much passion. I thought that Elina Garanca, playing the part of Sesto, was superb!!!.The music was beautiful...I cried at the end.
I don't think I will ever go back to the 'real' Opera. It's very expensive and you can see only tiny figures on stage.
After the performance I bought tickets for two different Operas. It was wonderful !!!
