Met Opera La Cenerentola

Nothing could be better than seeing both the orchestra musicians and the opera singers in close up as they create story and music. Better yet is seeing the scene changes between acts, hearing interviews with the principal singers and with the conductor. It was a perfect night at the opera.

I enjoy Renee Fleming's interviews so much more than the gentleman who interviewed for this performance - he wasn't as well prepared or interesting. The theater that we always see the Met Movies moved to another smaller theater and that in itself was fine, but the sound quality was muffled at times, certainly not surround sound and distorted many times - I would not see it at the Westbury Stadium again. I also had to leave the theater and ask them to turn their lights off. The movie itself was decent if you can take the repetitive lines from Rossini - it is a little annoying since 3/4 are the same lines. The performers were mostly wonderful.
