It was very nice to have the opera experience wearing casual attire and sitting in comfortable seats. I had not been to see an opera in a very long time. I found the use of subtitles to capture all the nuiances of the opera quite enlightening since I dont speak italian. This was not available when I last went to see an opera.

The Met Opera Live in HD is absolutely wonderful. The grand scale of these productions is a treat to watch. We have truly enjoyed the operas we've seen and particularly La Boheme. With a cast of hundreds in crystal clear high definition, the Met Opera has shown us what it is all about. We will go to the HD opera whenever it is in our theater.

A wonderful rendition of Puccini's, La Boheme, with some great looks into what goes on behind the scenes including the setting of stages and wardrobe changes as well as interviews between acts of the performers. I thought it was spectacular.

A passionate Boheme

The best Boheme I have seen and just about the best overall experience of a Live in HD program in the 7 years I have been attending them. The "substitute" soprano was unbelievably fresh given the rigors of her historic weekend. See the encore - you will not be disappointed.

LA BOHEME - The Met Live in HD

This broadcast of the The Met's Live in HD was LA BOHEME. It featured a production in use for more than 30 years. The singing was superb, especially by Vittorio Grigolo and the soprano, who was a last-minute replacement. It was historic in that it was the first time in the Met's history, that a principal singer filled in for the matinee after performing the lead in another opera the night before. She was remarkable. The Met orchestra was at the top of their game, as usual. Also fascinating was watching the behind-the-scenes interviews and the crew working their magic managing the elaborate sets. Thanks to The Met for these broadcasts.
