Another fabulous production by the Met Opera. I LOVE that we can view these operas in our cinemas in HD. Beautiful music and fabulous sets. Loved it.

This was a simalcast of the live performance from The Metropolitan Opera in NYC. It was wonderful. The cast was excellent and the production was spectacular. Not only do you see what is happening on stage you also watch them change the backdrops and sets between acts. I will be attending many more of these simalcast from the Met.

Superb presentation and rendering especially with the last minute replacement of the main singer. We were enthused by the fcat we were so closed to the stage through this live HD opera performance. It's not going to be a "once-only"attendance

The Metropolitan Opera: La Boheme

My favorite opera done superbly. My first time at a Met HD broadcast, so it was fun to see what goes into the scene changes. Grigolo seems like a likely successor to Pavoratti as an effortless, romantic tenor. And Opalais was a convincing Mimi--her exhaustion made her look like she was dying, but her voice was divine. I signed up late, so I'd only try not to sit in row 3 next time as it was a bit "in-your-face" at that distance.
