It's a long time to sit, but provided a delightful afternoon's entertainment. Voices were great, and the big surprise for me was the acting and dancing ability of Natalie Dessay! She is an accomplished comedienne!

The arias were unbelievable! Natalie Dessay was wonderful as Cleopatra and did very lively choreography. A nice balance of drama and comedy -- absolutely delightful sensory experience!

I hated this production so much I left after the first act. What a waste of talent and beautiful voices: Natalie Dessay, David Daniels, Christophe Dumaux, Giudo Locosolo. It was worse than Rigoletto in Las Vegas. It was insulting to the performers and to the audience: dumbing down a beautiful work of art!

Very entertaining. good music- good singing, contra-tenors galore (a little bit hard to get used to) Excellent aria from Daniels and Dessay, near the end.
This movie even contains time travel and resurrection - ha ha

Interesting take on this opera. I enjoyed most of the changes exept the costuming as a flapper. The music was terrific and beautifully sung, but some of the "modernized" tricks were distracting to the story, ie. "call me" signal, umbrella use, battleship, blimps and cruise ship back drops, etc. The counter tenors were terrific!
