There is no point in reviewing a Metropolitan Opera in HD encore screening when it will not be shown again. You need a different format for these screenings than for films that show for extended runs. The opera is a different genre entirely.

What more do I wish than - throw our arms wide open with no past no future and no age, gender, titles nor money to simply say "I love you" and mean it like the opera singers in grand operas..... man oh man..... modern sarcasm and giggles and non straight forward everyday behaviors which I love but every now and then, I love BIGGER THAN LIFE simplicity and well... they off course die for love on stage but hey....... I can dream right ?
Anna Netrebko and Mariusz Kwiecien in Eugene Onegin - original works by Pushkin and composed by Tchaikovsky - fantastic....... never thought I would get over Mr. Dmitri Hvrostovsky doing it and still think there is no other who can fill this role but it is heart breaking drama and all such simple drama - after all that has been said and done, computer, cyber space, facebook and twiter etc - Hello and how are you and I love you is kinda BEST..... minus I am going to kill myself for you.

If you get the chance of seeing it well worth it. Great singing, conducting, costumes and sets.
