There was audio drop out during the pre-opera interviews. It made us nervous that the opera would be impaired. However, as soon as the production switched to the main stage, it was fine. It was a terrific experience! Must go!

Excellent production. Cutting intermissions in half would help time spent sitting in Theatre

Liked the opera very much (first time hearing it). But what I also enjoy is the intermission when you see the professional work people changing the scenery. Looking forward to seeing "The Nose."

My wife and I aren't familiar with Russian opera and the sounds of the Russian language, so we were uncertain about this opera. HOwever, It's music by Tchaikovsky, and I loved all of the bits that I sampled on the web. The music was wonderful, the singers were handsome and beautiful, the sets well done, the orchestra superb, and the story (by Pushkin) no nearly as outlandish as most operas. Beautiful, lyrical music. Its's a winner!

This isn't a "movie." This is the Metropolitan Opera live in a fabulous production of Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin." Too bad there was a technical glich at the beginning that cut the sound; gave me a heart attack until it was fixed. If you missed it, there's a rerun on Wednesday.
