Great performance, both voice and music. The woodwinds during Lenski's aria perfectly framed his voice and emotion. This is a must see when it is broadcast again.

Would have been great if we could have heard it all!

After what I honestly believe was the definitive Letter Scene, by the great Anna Netrebko, the screen went absolutely silent, all through the back-stage set-up of the scene, and at least on into Onegin's rejection of Tatiana. I, along with most of the theater's audience, left to get a refund. We were told that it wasn't the theater's fault, rather in faulty transmission. I don't know if the sound ever came back, but I am going to see the "second cast", in December, so at least I can compare the above-mentioned Letter Scene.

Tchaikovsky & Netrebko, a brilliant pairing. I heard a few complaints over the sets in the new production but that's picking nits. Never have 4 hours gone so rapidly. The music is spellbinding and the singing superb. The Met orchestra as always was excellent.

Superbe performance both musically vocalyand technically, surpass by far live stage performance. The photographic capabilities in the HD wide screen presentation make it all worth while.

******5 stars! Loved every minute and every singer was fabulous! Can't wait for the next event at Dole Theater, Honolulu, So excited to see "the Nose" and all the rest, most of which I have never seen. What a thrill and a privilege to be there closeup at the Met! Phoebe Campbell, Honolulu
