Do not recommend Willowbrok Mall Theater

I saw Aida at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. The acoustics were terrible and HD picture very poor. Opera music was overpowered by the music in adjacent theater. Do not recommend this theater.

Aida at the Met

Spectacular. The Ukranian singer of Aida was performing her debut with the Met and did so brilliantly. The "cast of thousands" was well beyond impressive. This rendition of Aida at the Met was the best I've seen out of probably 10. Were Verdi alive today, he would have shouted "bravo."

cut out the stupid interviews

The opera itself was great. However, the experience was marred by a bunch of interviews asking stupid superficial questions before and during the performance. I understand that they needed to do something during intermissions BUT they ran the interviews and then STILL ran the intermissions. I will not see one of these again as long as they have these interviews. It is very annoying. Just do in the intermission set up and cut out the interviews

Anyone who loves this Verdi Opera would thoroughly enjoy this MetOpera. The Ukranian lead singing the role of Aida was spectacular.

Magnificent!!!! Very interesting to see the back stage preps but could do without the interviews (fluff)' The 2 female roles were perfection.
