Just got back from seeing The Man with the Iron Fists...don't bother spending the money. It wasn't actually directed by Tarantino...and you could tell. It couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be...old school kung fu movie...gruesome Tarantino flick...black rapper man trying to be a monk with iron fists movie...so it just sucked. For the record, it was mostly the latter. The director (and primary character) were played by a guy named RZA...who was a founding member of the Wu-Tang clan rap group. I like Wu-Tang...but RZA was definitely out of his element. The cast was strong, and the characters were decent, it just didn't flow well. I yawned several times...which pretty much says it all.

So bad that the movie ended up being a comedy. Saw it with a group of friends and we all ended up busting out laughing numerous times and yelling at the screen. Don't waste your money. Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu should be ashamed of being in this movie.

Only reason we went to see this movie was because Russell Crowe was in it. Previews did not get us excited. The rest of the actors did not get us excited and we are not a big fan of the Asian flying martial artists in any movie.
Bottom line is we should have waited for it to come out in NETFLIX. Would not rent it or buy it.
Felt it was a poor choice for Russell Crowe.
Overpriced, Overadvertised, and Overated.

This was the worst movie I have ever seen. The acting was awful, the story was shallow, and the fighting was ridiculous. Rza should stick with rapping. I thought for a while that it was trying to spoof Kung Fu movies, but if it was it even did that badly. The only redeeming quality of this movie was that it ended.

i only saw it to hang out with friends and we barely watched it. we talked the whole time and no one was in the theater to yell at us. Great time waster!
