This was the worst movie I have ever seen. The acting was awful, the story was shallow, and the fighting was ridiculous. Rza should stick with rapping. I thought for a while that it was trying to spoof Kung Fu movies, but if it was it even did that badly. The only redeeming quality of this movie was that it ended.

Wu-Tang staple and wuxia film affecionado RZA delivers probably one of the most over the top and fun films I have seen this year. The Man With The Iron Fists gives the moviegoers who are unfamiliar with the classic kung-fu films of the 60s and 70s an action packed look at the world the iconic studio portrayed in their golden days. This is a passion project to its core. RZA puts great effort in paying homage to the films that greatly influenced Wu-Tang's sound and culture. Everyone involved in this film were clearly having fun with their respective roles, especially Russell Crowe as Jack Knife and Byron Mann as the traitorous Silver Lion. The cast boasts some very notable wuxia actors, including the legendary Gordon Liu as the Abbott. Another notable aspect of this film is the soundtrack. The music ranged from the traditional 70s music, with slick guitar riffs and orchestral flares to hip-hop. I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves wuxia films or films in general.

I watched the first 30 minutes then I passed out. It has crappy over dramatic since as my bf who stayed awake describes and some horrible acting. I'm not sure of the year it's based in but the music was all rap in today's era which bothered me for some reason. I like rap music, however it didn't fit. If it was supposed to be more of a comedy spoof I didn't catch on. So if you want to see it wait for it to come to dvd, then decide.

This is an old school movie with new F/X. The story is simple, plot to steal gold, betray the clan leader so the young guys can have it all. Son comes to get revenge, assassins attack him.
Good guys, bad guys, good girls, bad girls. It all revolves around the local brothel.
The fighting was good, the acting okay. The music wasn't to my liking but it is the mainstream rap-pop of the 2012 crowd. Its not for young kids, simply because of the brothel location and implied sexual connotations.
This is geared for those that liked the old kung-fu style movies. I liked it, and it was worth the ticket price.

Kind of painful to watch at times, not for the action but the terrible dialog and acting. Half of those guys looked like Marty Stewart on crack. Not really even a good rental. Save your money and time wasted watching this screwed up mess.
How Russell Crowe can go from "Beautiful Mind" "Gladiator" "310 to Yuma" ETC to this total mess is beyond me? I guess a payday??
