it was okay. the script was elementary. to much sex and blood. really did not capture all the essence of the old kung fu movies. kind of added twist of comic book style. to many scenes that really did not capture the martial art movements you could not really see the moves. i would wait for the dvd. i started yawning half way into the movie and some people left out of the theater. It was an okay movie could have been better. I give mad props to Rza though. Practice makes perfect.

Vary graphic with visual effects but they were good! The short scenes that protrayed each clan could of been more elaborate. They could of gotten rid of all the hip-hop music for the movie. This movie is not for children! The movie was to short. Overall, I would rate this movie as a GO.

This is, by far, among the worst movies commercially released to the domestic market this year, and I've seen hundreds. Do not be fooled by the talent billing. A good bet would be if it were even a remote possibility, they'd one or all buy this movie and destroy it, rather than have anyone see such a bad example of their work. This dismal waste of millions of dollars masquerading as a commercial entertainment product can only be blamed on its producers, since there are no other notable personal contributions elsewhere, including set decoration. Save your money. This one's so awful, it makes last year’s “Conan” re-release look Oscar worthy.

The movie plays things relatively straight, acknowledging clichés without the winking irony in which modern homages usually indulge. As such, it’s giddy fun — a well-made genre picture that sends up its influences even as it clearly reveres them.
Cory Yuen’s wirework choreography is consistently creative, the swift pacing—propelled by RZA’s score—masks an underdeveloped plot, and even Russel Crowe seems to be enjoying himself for the first time in years.
You’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting something other than a gonzo, ultra-violent throwback spectacle. But anyone who’s sat through enough of those knows that it’s no small accomplishment to make exploitation that’s actually entertaining.
Like I said, if you enjoy Saturday Afternoon Kung Foo Theater then this movie is a must-go!!

This is NOT a movie or your girlfriend/Wife! Unless she is a REALLY cool chick! Who like MMA and football and still looks good in heels and a dress. This movie is exactly what you see in the commercials. A modern attempt at something classic from our childhoods. They do it VERY well. The action is very well choreographed and they even managed to make Russel Crowe who, is suffering from the affects of time. As we all do. They also make Rza and Dave Batista look good as well. By no means is Rza an action star but, Batista is a former WWE superstar who must have felt some pressure coming into this project. Yes, the guy is big enough to be his own zip code but, people wanted to see some of what he was known for and, I think they delivered. Overall, what you see is what you get. Its a good, throw back time at the movies and, there were no kids in the crowd.
