Great Movie

I was amazed how well the RZA put things together. It was a great experience to see somewhat of a twist to a Hong Kong cinema film with him being the lead antagonist. The music was amazing and all the actors and actress all get their time to shine. My only thought about this movie was the the fight scenes tend to cut away during an impact of a kick or punch, so you kind don't feel the landing of the attack at times but don't let that stop you. The Man With The Iron Fists is a great movie for any Martial Arts lover and a fan of Hong Kong cinema mixed with Urban Hip Hop. Thank you RZA for adding a new genre to to Martial Art films now.

Awesome theatrical debut by the Rza

This was a movie that I was waiting to see for quite some time now. I have to say that now that I have seen it, I look forward to the Rza learning from this experience and becoming a full fledged director as he is already a prominent name in the music industry. The film reminded me of many of the kung-fu movies that I used to watch on the weekend when I was kid. It didn't try to recreate anything new, just tell a classic story in a different way - and it worked in my opinion. You could tell that the Rza, Eli Roth & Quentin Tarantino had fun with this project - which is a good thing. I feel that the scene transitions could have been a little smoother, as well as a bit more story to flesh out the other clans, the blacksmith and other characters as they were interesting in their own right. Other than that I think that this movie was pretty good. I'm glad that I went out to support. Keep up the good work Rza!

The movie was not great. I am a person who loves Asian movies and action packed. In the movie, there was elements that were used from the old Chinese movies, but what made it quite confusing was the title that didn't even follow with the man with the iron fists. The only thing the guy did was narrate the movie. Also, the music selection was horrible because it was like a remix of Hip-Hop, Chinese movies, and old Western. The merge of both elements made me lose interest in every aspect possible. From the preview, this movie looks to be promising, but in truth, it was a complete waste of time. At some point, I wanted to just close my eyes and fall asleep because there was too much misdirected scenes. Personally, I am very disappointed. If in comparison, I had more fun and excitement watching the Disney movie that just came out than The Man with the Iron Fists. Anyways, watch it if you don't believe me and good luck!

For old school martial arts movie fans

This is an old school movie with new F/X. The story is simple, plot to steal gold, betray the clan leader so the young guys can have it all. Son comes to get revenge, assassins attack him. Good guys, bad guys, good girls, bad girls. It all revolves around the local brothel. The fighting was good, the acting okay. The music wasn't to my liking but it is the mainstream rap-pop of the 2012 crowd. Its not for young kids, simply because of the brothel location and implied sexual connotations. This is geared for those that liked the old kung-fu style movies. I liked it, and it was worth the ticket price.

This was the worst movie I have ever seen. The acting was awful, the story was shallow, and the fighting was ridiculous. Rza should stick with rapping. I thought for a while that it was trying to spoof Kung Fu movies, but if it was it even did that badly. The only redeeming quality of this movie was that it ended.
