    The Lucky Ones

A poignant image of three disconnected soldiers home on leave. Tastefully handled, very human.

Well worth your time and money

I sometimes think the critics and a lot of fans expect every movie to be Oscar quality! Well life is just not that way and sometimes you find little gems if you have the patience and imagination to put yourself into the situation. Here we have 3 terrific versatile actors, a good director Neil Berger in a movie about one guy who has completed his tour Tim Robbins, one wouded girl on leave Rachel Mc Adams, and a guy also wounded home on leave. They meet up and share a ride so we end up on a road trip. They all have wounds beyond physical of course and the transition from war and dreadful sudden death, loss of buddies home to US is a tough one for all wars! Some people think you are heroes, some laugh and make fun of you, some are hostile! Off we go from there. Fine acting from all concerned an absorbing story, much more real than the critics seem to realise. Give it a go, it has humor, pathos, fighting everything in a dramatic slice of life.

    Pleasently Surprised

I loved this movie! I just got back from seeing it, and was pleasantly surprised by it~ the characters were so real, likable and relatable. This was not an action packed movie, and I can understand if some might be bored by it. But what this movie was, was a great story! I laughed a lot too, Rachel McAdams and the guys were so funny! I was glad my sister and I were the only ones in the theatre because we were laughing out loud the whole time! (I do wish that more people would have and will see it though!)

At first I was afraid it was going to talk about the war and showcase a political agenda, but it wasn't like that at all. It was just a great story, and I really hope more people will give it a chance.
