I'm still confused... but at the same time not really.. this is spacey Rob Zombie... very Satanic, which is cool... but it was really cloudy... i liked it.. but walked out not really sure what just happened... i tried to explain to wife afterwards and i was at a loss for words... love how Zombie pushes the limits of movies and the horror genre, but this one falls a little short... the music is killer, John 5 did an amazing job! as a fan of Rob you should see it to support him... but ya might leave in some crazy weird mind warp! but all in all glad to see the Devil so proudly displayed in the theatre! \m/

This movie was the worst movie I've seen this year. Not since The Last Exorcism have I been so upset at wasting my money and time. I didn't have very high expectations and still left totally disappointed. Horrendous acting by SMZ. If he puts her in any more movies, I refuse to watch. Can't say enough bad things about this movie. Don't bother.

I've never liked a Rob Zombie film. He's clearly a fan of the genre but the defining characteristic of his films to date has been their remorseless sadism. Lords of Salem, however, is something else entirely--a restrained Rob Zombie film with the sadism dialed down to nearly zero. Zombie has always worn his influences on his sleeve--this time around they appear to be John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, Dario Argento's Evil Mother's trilogy (particularly the second one, Inferno) and Rosemary's Baby. The story concerns a radio DJ who receives a mysterious record that starts to make her see visions and have bizarre nightmares. Luckily her friendly landlord and her two sisters are on hand to offer friendly support and scones. Zombie tries for a slow burn effect this time out, creating tension with disturbing imagery and a sense that the film is building toward something horrible. More often than not it works, but fans of Zombie's previous more violent flicks may be disappointed.

Pathetic movie-making. It should have gone directly to DVD.

The friends and special fans event was totally awesome. Getting to meet and take pictures with the cast and the Q & A were fantastic. Unfortunately, the movie was a big letdown. The only part I liked was the 3 witches. The ending left everyone just sitting there wondering what happened. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I would like to give Kudos to the theater in Burbank and the staff who were great and did a good job handling this event. Loved the free parking also and will definately go to more movies there.
