LOS had soooo much more potential :(

Disappointed with this installment of Rob zombie's films. I loved it visually and the idea for the movie is awesome, but I felt it was lacking in the storyline. It seemed to have several beginnings of stories, but none of the stories fully developed and some started well into the movie. The ending... It just stops when the movie finally somewhat starts to pick up speed. Huge fan of Rob Zombie, but disappointed with Lords Of Salem :( It had sooooo much more potential.

"Not what I expected" doesn't equal bad

Since when does a movie not being about what you expected, make it a bad movie? Don't blame the movie for your own wrong assumptions. If you're a classic (possibly cult) horror fan, you'll most likely enjoy this movie. It's filmed beautifully and the imagery is weird, creepy, disturbing, etc. There was a thing or two that bothered me about the plot, but mostly I enjoyed it. I guess in a world where people are only entertained by sex and gore, you may find it too slow for your liking, but I was never bored. I had high expectations for the movie and I still enjoyed it, even though it was a bit different from what I thought. I'd gladly go see it again.
