Even with low expectations...

This movie was the worst movie I've seen this year. Not since The Last Exorcism have I been so upset at wasting my money and time. I didn't have very high expectations and still left totally disappointed. Horrendous acting by SMZ. If he puts her in any more movies, I refuse to watch. Can't say enough bad things about this movie. Don't bother.

missed this movie at the theater and damn glad I did....went to four red boxes before I found it and it was not even worth swiping my card. Rob Zombies mind sure goes where others do not but this was a waste of time. Very choppy and could have been so much better. His idea was good but the outcome leaves a lot to be desired. With two well known actresses in this one would think at least the acting would be better but fell short.

The friends and special fans event was totally awesome. Getting to meet and take pictures with the cast and the Q & A were fantastic. Unfortunately, the movie was a big letdown. The only part I liked was the 3 witches. The ending left everyone just sitting there wondering what happened. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I would like to give Kudos to the theater in Burbank and the staff who were great and did a good job handling this event. Loved the free parking also and will definately go to more movies there.

The Lords of Salem

This is a horror movie written & directed by Rob Zombie but it is different from what you might expect . It is not bloody & gory , as you might think it would be . It's more of a throwback to the old and more subtle type of horror films . It has a cheaper budget and no digital effects . It does have a lot of older actors that film & t.v. buffs will recognize . Sheri plays a radio DJ that works in Salem , Massachusetts . She receives a box with a record by a group called 'The Lords' and when she plays it , it affects all the females in town . They all go into a trance and Sheri has flashbacks to the 1600's and specifically , Meg and her witches coven . Bruce plays the local historian/expert that tries to help Sheri discover exactly what is going on . Jeff plays one of Sheri's co-workers . It's rated "R" for violence , sexual content , language and drug use and has a running time of 1 hour & 41 minutes . It's not one that I would buy on DVD but it would be alright as a rental .

Pathetic movie-making. It should have gone directly to DVD.
