    The Longshots

I really enjoyed this movie. One of Ice Cube's best perfomances as an actor, and producer. The story has been told many times, and in many ways, but it wasn't about sports, or the fact that a girl played football, it was about the importance and the impact a father has on his child. Very heartwarming, and I left the theater in a good mood.

    Loved Longshots

My husband and I took our 3, 6, 7 and 12 year old to see it. It may have been a bit much for the 3 year old but the others loved it and so did we!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good family movie

    by mazaru

I went on request from my 8yr old daughter, and was worried for two reasons: Fred Durst directed it, and the critics seemed to hate it. But the Limp Bizkit front man did "enough" to satisfy my daughter, and impress me, since i went in expecting to see some of his horrid video ideas. I usually judge a movie made for kids BY the kids reaction. My daughter and 6 yr old son were thoroughly entertained, so mission accomplished in that respect.

Ya know what? I just loved this movie.

    by

I saw it with the family - Grandkids (7 & 11), their parents, my Mom (82), and me. Everyone enjoyed the movie. Yes it was good to see a girl quarterback a football team. Yes it was great for a "down and outer", to come back to life etc. But the really neat concept was the importance of the father daughter relationship. In this case an uncle stepped up to help a girl child abandoned by a flaky Dad grow up to be a secure young lady. This is a great movie for those "blended" families out there and the movie reminds us of how important family is. Minimal bad words and virtually no violence and all positive concepts. This is a wonderful, sweet, family movie. (My Mom even shed a tear or two!!!)

    The Longshots

The movie was cute-- a fun, pretty harmless opportunity for the family. The story is heartfelt.
It would have been perfect if a couple of words were left out.

If you love football, kids, and have an I can do spirit, then this is the movie for you!

My husband and I went to see this today, and we both thought it was excellent. It was funny and heart warming at the same time. It wasn't Ice Cubes Best but I would definitely recommend it, especially as a family movie.

    The Longshots

A Wonderful and inspirational MUST SEE movie!
It had a good mix of comedy, heart-warming (O.K. I cried), and sports-action to keep us all interested.
We had a large birthday party of eight 9 to 13 year old girls, four 10 to 13 year old boys and two fourty-something mothers. We were all cheering, clapping, laughing and at one point stomping to the beat throughout the movie.....and no, we weren't the only ones.

The movie draws you in and you feel like you're right there in the stands cheering her on.
The fact that this is based on a true story made it even more awesome. As a mom, being able to use this as a means of encouragement to the girls and boys alike that whatever you set your mind to you can do it, with determination and work! Don't let others define what you can or cannot do!
Keke Palmer is a fantastic upcoming actress. Ice Cube, as always is believable, down-to-earth and funny. His sidekicks were hilarious! Glad they kept it at PG rating. Great family movie

    Inspiring Story, Exceptional Cast

    by kad1964

We took our family to see "The Longshots," including children from aged 7 to grandparents in their 70s. We all loved this film and found it very upbeat and inspiring. The cast does a stellar job. It is a great family film -- the kind we'd love to see more of in the theaters!

LONGSHOTS- A GREAT MOVIE TO ENCOURAGE TRYING NEW THINGS

    by queque

I was well pleased with this movie. The story line is very encourging to anyone who may be scared to try something new and out of the ordinary. Kee Kee and Ice Cude gave good performances and showed how you really don't have to a fahter or mother a child to help him find a happy outlet and a way to find their talent.
