The Lone Ranger is a blast.

This is not the TV Lone Ranger. This version is played for laughs and it delivers. There are many tense spots with a multitude of bad guys but it is always lightened by humor. Johnny Depp's Tonto is hilarious. He has some great one-liners and really carries the movie. Armie Hammer's Ranger is a wimp who finally by the end of the movie gets a backbone. I hope he becomes a little more hardened in the sequel. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It is long, violent but oh so funny. Stick around for the credits.

I do bot know what movie the critics were watching but this movie was sensational. It was full of action, great wit and comedy in between the action. I would highly recommend seeing this movie - one of the best I have seen this summer

For Johnny Depp fans... movie a must see... for western lovers-you may experience disappointment... Given direction script and storyline... this movie spans the gap with several plot lines... retold in story fashion... good laughs interesting camera work with significant special effects and a solid cast...

Our Family - Three Generations Loved It !!

Two grandparents, daughter and two teenage granddaughters all LOVED it. Great plot, perfectly timed and performed with now classic Johnny Depp style humor delivery, great plot (my wife and I watched this on TV as a kid every weekend), and as ridiculous as some of the chase scenes could be ( it is a fictional hero movie people !!) the action train scenes were quite entertaining. You cannot go into this movie looking for some reality concept - this is fiction, cartoon, adult/children hero fantasy at its best.
