Loved everything about this movie. It had action, comedy, interesting characters and the whole story involving the little boy was fantastic! We plan on seeing this movie again before it leaves the theaters. Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer were both incredible in their roles as they explored the history of the characters. The music and scenery was so beautiful. I truly hope there will be follow up movies as I really didn't want this movie to end. Great Movie. Two thumbs up! Be sure to stay for the credits!

This life long Lone Ranger fan enjoyed this film tremendously. I didn't know who Army Hammer was, but I liked him in this film. Depp as always was great. Only negative is that it is a bit young.

The movie is a bit long but it was worth wait to get to the last 30 minutes. From that point on, it was super outstanding, especially for those of us old enough to remember the good old days!

Great summer movie. I was excited about this movie when I saw the trailers. Was disappointed to hear that some movie reviewers did not like it. Now having seen it, I wonder how those reviewers keep their jobs at all. Quite a puzzle. Great movie, good character development, reasonable special effects. Absolutely great cinematic treatment of Monument Valley! Surpassing those of John Huston and his great westerns. Historical depth vis a vis American Indians, railroads, etc that I do not remember in the 1950's tv series. Have a summer staycation, see this movie, enjoy Monument Valley, a new deeper take on the Lone Ranger, and hear that theme music one more time.

The Lone Ranger

I am an older adult who watched the Lone Ranger in black and white, so I wasn't sure what to expect in this more modern rendition of the masked man. If you are a fan of Johnny Depp, and I am, you will enjoy this movie. It was very humorous, yet at times had a serious story to tell about the characters. The movie, in my opinion, was not at all like the tv show as the lead characters were much more serious, kind of like Dragnet. If you go to have a good laugh and a nostalgic experience, you will love the move. Also, I have read some concerns posted by native Americans and Depp's portrayal of Tonto. I do understand the sensitivity our brothers feel. But I did not come away feeling that native's were portrayed in a negative light as a result of Depp's character and his twist with regard to his very different style of comedy. Depp was odd, for sure, but Tonto showed wisdom and leadership throughout the movie, and actually helped mature Mr. Lone Ranger who was at first very naïve.
