Ladies, bring your husbands!

You will both enjoy this action-packed adventure. I don't quite understand all the harsh criticism. Yes, I'll admit the movie was a little long, and I wasn't thrilled by the scenes they used to "narrate" the film, but it definitely entertained me. I'm not a huge fan of westerns, so I was happy with the comedic parts. As far as the violence goes, I honestly don't understand the people who say it is too violent. Most PG-13 movies I've seen are much more violent than this one. Avengers, Iron Man, etc. Johnny Depp was amazing, as usual. Armie Hammer was pretty good and deserves more credit than the critics are giving him. I loved the "real" effects as opposed to so many CGI-heavy effects we are used to seeing in the theater. In summary, I really enjoyed it...and I'm a 37-year-old stay-at-home mother of 3 young children! So, take your husbands. ;-)

We laughed from the beginning to the end. Depp as usual was a trip. No this is not a serious western. It is supposed to be comical. We loved it and highly recommend it for good family entertainment. No vulgarity, nudity or gore.

Terrible

Really slow. Really bad. They made the Lone Ranger a total sissy. Tonto is a mess, is he funny or serious? Is this a comedy or action? And the story is so slow and dumb. Really bad.

Not your daddy's Lone Ranger

Don't expect the heroic story of the Lone Ranger 'cuz this ain't it. In many ways, it's more like Tonto and his friend...and a horse. But if you go in with an open mind and no expectations, you'll see a very funny action movie, somewhat of a Western version of Pirates of the Caribbean. The critics say No, but I enjoyed this a lot. My review: go with friends and enjoy the ride.

Love the Lone ranger!

Johnny Depp was amazing as always. But the real charm of the Lone Ranger for y generation I think is that it takes you back to being a kid again at the Saturday Matinee watching the Lone Ranger and Tonto. when the Lone ranger appears on the screen on Silver with hooves in hair, I got the biggest grin on my face and was bopping in my seat the entire ride to the "William Tell Overture." For a magical time that transports you back to childhood, this is a must see!
