Entertaining, but not sure Ruth Wilson was the right cast for the female lead

Mostly a good movie! Lots of shoot 'em up (without all the blood and gore) and quirky, but a good way to spend an afternoon at a discounted price. The leading lady, Ruth Wilson, was not a good fit. Her lips were distracting....couldn't tell if they were implants or natural. I think anyone else would have been a better fit -everytime she came on the screen, it took my mind off the movie because I couldn't get past the upper lip. Really!! Enjoyed Johnny Depp of course, knowing that these guys did a lot of their own riding and stunts was also fun to watch. There was a little lull in the movie, where you just wanted to say "ok, keep moving!" - but overall good, NOT great.

Terrible

Really slow. Really bad. They made the Lone Ranger a total sissy. Tonto is a mess, is he funny or serious? Is this a comedy or action? And the story is so slow and dumb. Really bad.

what are they thinking

Why do these producers and Directors ruin traditional Iconic TV/old traditional movies/shows and turn it into a digital computer generated film, with a few funny lines, that are familiar to the old story of the lone ranger. But at the end of the day i left the film saying to myself, can I even recommend that flick as a rental. As in Superman its all about the action and fights and virtually no meaningful story line.... Depp and Hammer are really good actors but is was like a corn ball movie...

This is by far the best movie we have seen this year. Excellent acting, breath taking scenery, great script. Loved the way story unfolded. This is a must see.

Pretty good if you scrape off the cheese

The "wraparound" story detracted from the film, and the movie itself had enough cheese to supply Taco Bell for a month, but neither of these things were enough to wreck the high entertainment value of the film. Lots of action and comedy. And the climactic scene with the Lone Ranger theme was chock full of classic high-adventure antics we've come to expect from Bruckheimer.
