Uma and Evan Rachel - Bravo!

I have to admit to being an Uma Thurman fan. And now I have added Evan Rachel Wood to the list of actors and actresses that I will continue to look for in future movies. Typically I do not like moving back and forth in a movie between the past and the future, but with Uma and Rachel Wood at either end, the film does the time travel with grace. The movie has elements of race, social justice, and cultural awareness. Overall, a very intelligent and engrossing movie...

Excellent movie - Uma finally gets to truly act!

     by  Films_Addiction

Independent film. Very good! Excellent cast. Excellent acting. Excellent direction. Story was very good with the perfect topic for today?s audience ? school shootings. I love Uma Thurman in this movie ? perfect opportunity to truly show her talent and she delivers. I loved the story ? what happens to survivors of a school shooting long after they grow up? Especially the ones who had to choose between themselves and their friends on who lived and who died ? which is the premise of this story. I loved this movie! I loved the ending! Go see it!

    The Life Before Her Eyes

Interesting concept, but the surprise ending was signaled ahead of time. Photography was very artistic, but the short focus became tiresome after a while. Great job by all the actors.

Use your eyes to observe this!

     by  Ann_Fan moviesrule

If you like your movies simple and with an unambiguous ending, do not go! But, if you like something deep and thoughtful and complicated this is for you. I found it absolutely engrossing with terrific acting from the whole cast. Uma Thurman is impeccable and Evan Rachel Wood as the young Uma is a reall tallent, with a good body of work including Across the Universe, very versatile. The difficult high school years are well portrayed and entertaining, when tragedy strikes with a Columbine type masacre. Uma survives and the rebellious teenager grows up, scarred forever. However, watch carefully as we found there are actually a lot of different ways to interprit this movie, and Director Vadim Perlman ( The House of Sand) himself says you need to see it more than once! So have fun deciding what you think!!
