Wonderful experience

I've grown up with this movie, first on poor quality VHS, then DVD, now Blu, but seeing The Last Unicorn on the big screen was an entirely new way to watch it. The detail in the drawings you can see are charming, the new print is gorgeous, and in the theatrical environment all the moments that gave me goosebumps and thrills as a kid were just as potent. There were a lot of little ones there seeing it for the first time, people who had grown up with it like myself, and people who had loved it as adults when it first released, so the crowd was fantastic. Must-go.

What an amazing night! Great seeing all the fans and all the beautiful art. Peter S. Beagle is a wonderful guy and spent time with everyone who stood in line. Picked up some books that are finally back in print. The film itself is gorgeous! Seeing it on the big screen reveals all sorts of details I've missed in my hundreds of other viewings. The taco line finally makes sense! Plus, you can find out what happens to Molly's cat. Wonderful story, great music, and the charm of pre-computer animation. You just don't see texture like that anymore.

I have loved this movie since I was a child. The animation is stunning and seeing this for the first time on the big screen was more than worth it. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the film.
