I've grown up with this movie, first on poor quality VHS, then DVD, now Blu, but seeing The Last Unicorn on the big screen was an entirely new way to watch it. The detail in the drawings you can see are charming, the new print is gorgeous, and in the theatrical environment all the moments that gave me goosebumps and thrills as a kid were just as potent. There were a lot of little ones there seeing it for the first time, people who had grown up with it like myself, and people who had loved it as adults when it first released, so the crowd was fantastic. Must-go.

What an amazing night! Great seeing all the fans and all the beautiful art. Peter S. Beagle is a wonderful guy and spent time with everyone who stood in line. Picked up some books that are finally back in print.
The film itself is gorgeous! Seeing it on the big screen reveals all sorts of details I've missed in my hundreds of other viewings. The taco line finally makes sense! Plus, you can find out what happens to Molly's cat. Wonderful story, great music, and the charm of pre-computer animation. You just don't see texture like that anymore.

I have loved this movie since I was a child. The animation is stunning and seeing this for the first time on the big screen was more than worth it. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the film.

Was my favorite movie as a child and I was VERY pleased to see it on the big screen. The music and sounds were great as well. So glad I got to share it with my son.

This was one of my favorite childhood movies and it was really neat to see in the theatre. The art is beautiful and the movie is just silly fun!
It's dreamy and whimsical and delightful and it has UNICORNS (says my 7-year old self!)
So if asked if I'd see this again, I'd answer with the simplicity as Molly Grue, "I will."
