The Last Circus

First off I will say that this movie is not for everyone. The humor in this movie is very dark and disturbing with laughs that are produced as a defense to the twisted jokes the movie throws at you. A twisted love story between a sad clown and an acrobat performer that takes you in and doesn't let go until the conclusion that may leave some people cold. Some of the cinematography of the film is beautiful it is just a shame that there were not more scenes of the actual circus that could have really shown it off more. Never the less with the performances from capable actors who are over the top at times but that works to the movies advantage that you want to see how much crazier these characters and these situations can get and the movie does not disappoint. Everything that happens builds to the final showdown that ranges from intense drama to down right funny. Alex de la Iglesia is a great director that is not known by many but has a following and this movie is one of his best.
