A very under-rated (and funny) Coen Bros film

Hanks' goofy character alone was worth it but, as usual, Joel and Ethan have proven that they are unparalleled experts at writing laugh-out-loud, aristocratic hillbilly dialogue. Plus, Irma Hall was an absolute delight and more than held her own. And, of course, the music (T-Bone Burnett) was fantastic. Loved this movie!

Lady Beware!

A underrated and funny offering from the Coen Brothers, featuring an interesting role choice for Tom Hanks but he shines all the same! Irma P. Hall is spot on as the doddering old lady who inadvertently gets involved with a gang of crooks played superbly by Simmons, Wayans, Ma and Hurst. The script is well written and the direction is done with skill. Many laughs! A don't miss hidden gem from two creative directors! 05-03-2016
