Amazingly , well-acted humerous poignant movie. It's been a long time since a film of this caliber came out.

This was a perfect movie. On my list of the very best. The music was subtle and appealing, non=-intrusive. The acting was superlative; a very, very moving film. Not to be missed! If it doesn't win many Academy awards, there's definitely something wrong with our system acknowledgment. A must!!!!!!!!!!

Colin Firth is fantastic. Helen Bonham Carter is great as the Queen Mother in her early days. This had the perfect blend of personal interaction and politcal/history to be entertaining and ineresting.

It will win Best Actor, Supporting Actor and Screenplay at the least. One can feel the pain of the King. In the past the King's brother has been portrayed in a more positive light. I highly recommend it for young children even though there are some 4 letter expletives. It is a history lesson about our forefathers. One wonders what Queen Elizabeth thinks about the portrayals? From the outset and throughout the acting is superb. The scenery is realistic and the background music happens at all of the right moments and is never intrusive. Movies like this only come around once in a great while. My in laws, good friends, son and his wife all saw it before we did and it is seldom when the feedback is unanimously terrific. I dislike seeing movies twice but this one is one of the few I would consider. I can't wait for the Golden Globes and the Oscars and will be quite surprised it this movie, the Directors, Producers and everyone else associated with it don't walk away with it all. Good Stuff!
