One of the finest movies I have seen in recent time. The movie is intelligent, moving without being maudlin and often funny. The acting overall is excellent as is the cinematography. I am very pleased to have seen it.

This was by far the best movie that I have seen in the past 10 years or so. A feel good, thoughtful movie that hits you in the heart. I laughed, held back tears and sat in awe till the end. It is a French film with English subtitles... but that fact is NOT distracting at all. It is very easy to keep up. The acting was amazing and the characters are very likable. A kind of 'opposites attract' movie with several lessons and beautiful scenery throughout. A MUST SEE for any age over say, 13. Some language and weed use. No biggie.

This little gem really surprised me. I thought it will be a heavy drama with a touch of humor. Honestly, I don't remember what was the last time I laughed so hard:) Great movie, and the fact that it's a real story, made it even better! I've never heard of Omar Sy, but I think he'll be the next best thing on the screen in the near future. Let's hope the people in the film industry will see this and realize what real comedy and real talent is!!

It was fantastic, I highly recommend this movie! The acting outstanding. You laughed, you felt empathy you cheered, your emotions were high and it was brillantly executed. It is one of the finest foreign movies I have ever seen. I haven't enjoyed a movie in such a long time it was just wonderful to see heart and soul and so much caring for the characters. Thank you for a most enjoyable and enteraining time at the movies....RB

Sweet on the surface, complicated underneath

Somebody was in charge of keeping this feel-good movie from crossing over the line into so-sweet-it-makes-your-fillings-ache. It's a dark situation laced with beams of light and proving what comedians know: we want to laugh at adversity--and the more adverse, the harder we want to laugh. Here, we get to tear up, too. Although it's a movie with no villains, it gets you in a bear hug that won't let go.
