80's L.A.
I grew up on the east coast but born the last day of '79. This was a great depiction of early 80's L.A....from the drugs and sex, to the music and fashion. The movie was entertaining although the ending could have been a bit better. The various perspectives on family life fall outs was intense. I went to see the movie because of the cast more so than the plot itself, and to see Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger in an 80's themed flick was awesome to see.

TO ME ----- a mirror image of most of the people that the media props - up ( hollywood ) types that march towards a slow death because of alcohol , drugs, lust . It's sad that film makers ( and that actors ) would put this kind of trash on screen . BUT there's definetly a message .

The Informers
after reading some of the reviews for this film, i have to ask...did anyone know anything at all about this movie before you saw it? I knew going in that it wasn't gonna be all that good. I knew it was hardcore with drugs, sex and nudity. And I went anyway. People need to educate themselves about what movies you are going to see, otherwise you should just stick with the obvious fast & furious or hannah montana. in other words...if you have never heard of it, you are probably going to be too closed minded to appreciate it.
