I am not a person that is sensitive to movies, but this is out right terrible. the stunts that jim karry does makes your skin crawl. putting his arm in fire, laying on hot coals telling people you smell my flesh burning, cutting his face open with a knife and then pulling a card out thru his bloody skin. yea, and if that is not enough then he tells the audience to hold their children up high so they can see, while he drills into his head with and electric drill. grouse..
the other magicians are a disgrace to the profession. it shows that all they are interested in is getting women into bed. with all types of snide sexual remarks. I am not a prude, I have watched action movies and I am a male, but this is not for children., oh I forgot on other thing Jim does, he drives a nail into a table with his head, and also after a boy on his birthday is given a Yorkshire terrier Jim karry takes the dog and crushes it in his hands making the boy cry. bad movie

I and my children really liked this movie. Magic being our family legacy, and having known so many magicians for so many years, this movie was a bit closer to our hearts than, I would think, most people. I think they did a great job portraying the older generation of magicians, the glitzy Vegas magician (who have forgotten the awe of magic), and the Chris Angel character. Of course it was a parody, but very well done. I recommend seeing it - especially to all my magician friends!

Kitschy movie about a fun topic - funny moments and some depressing moments... , overall I think it will be a staple go to movie for a rainy day.

I love Steve Carrell and usually enjoy Jim Carrey movies. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. There were only two points in the movie where I may have laughed, but nothing more than a snicker. The only truly good thing during this movie was the popcorn and drink that cost more than the movie ticket itself.
