    It''s Hard to Imagine

This movie is very powerful. Not for the squeemish. I had to shut my eyes and try not to listen a few times but I am glad I went. Lucas is the star, in my opinion.

    Worthy film with exceptional acting

"The Impossible" is an, involving, well acted, story of one families' survival of the 2004 tsunami. The stand-outs are Naomi Watts and Tom Holland. Although I liked the film very much, I was disappointed with some of the production values. The Tsunami scenes are excellent but it surprised me that they depicted plane turbulence by just shaking the camera. It was amateurish. Some of the supporting acting wasn't in the same league as Watts and the other leads. There was a cameo scene with Geraldine Chaplin. Although it was great to see the actress from Dr. Zhivago, it felt like it was inserted for her benefit.
Despite these criticism, I highly recommend the movie because it does convey well what that horrific experience was like for the victims.

    Be Prepared

I was not expecting such a emotional movie, I did not watch any previews or anything, I just knew it was about the Tsunami, and being a history buff I was looking forward to it. I had no idea how detailed and realistic it was. Afterwards the people in the theater didn't leave, they literally sat in there seats waiting for more, like pictures or something. Just a great movie, with excellent acting all around, phenomenal directing and such. A must see!

    Uplifting and Heart-wrenching

In the end it's a feel-good movie. Interesting that the trailer didn't try to hide the facts about this movie - who dies, who lives, does the family all survive thing. And I kind of like that. You know you're going to see an experience and a lot of drama, and that's ok.

Naomi Watts is incredible as the mom of this inspiring family, the physical pain and trials she goes through will make you wince and cheer for her at the same time.
The kids are precious, make you smile, and wonder at how fast some children have to grow up in sometimes just a matter of days.
Ewan McGregor, as usual, delivers a good performance as the father who'll stop at nothing to reunite his family.

The other families and people encountered along the way are fascinating, I found myself thinking about these characters/people even hours after the movie ended.
    Go see this film!

I loved this film so much.

I went to see this film yesterday. I had see the advert before and fancied going to see it.

The film was amazing. I am actually speechless, i cried and was really engaged with the film. There were many hard hitting scenes that really make you think. I think it was really powerful.

I left the cinema feeling really emotional, it was a weird feeling but the film really impacted on me.

I am not ashamed to say i cried in the cinema, it broke my heart and i think its a film that will stick with me for a long time.

The actors really played the parts well and think the story came across well.

I suggest that you go and see it if you are up for a journey of emotion.

    Mesmorizing

What an amazing movie. I'd like to start off by praising every single person on the crew who was involved in making this disaster look as if it were coming into my theater and about to sweep me off of my seat. Furthermore, I cannot stress how AMAZING every single person is in the cast. Ewan MrGregor gives an outstanding performance as the father who's been separated from his wife and oldest son. A few of his scenes are the most heart-breaking in the film and make you appreciate fatherly love. Tom Holland, the oldest son, shines as the little boy who has to put on his big boy pants and take care of his mother. He displays acting chops that are extremely difficult to find in young actors and seems very promising in his future career. But, the star of the movie, Naomi Watts, takes the cake. Completely deserving of the academy award, Naomi gives one of the finest performances of her career as the mother who is severely hurt emotionally and physically. Congrats to everyone involved. Amazing
