    INTENSE

Edge of your seat intensity. Don't go see without your BP meds...

Really got into this movie - forgot I was at the theater until the credits started rolling. Seemed like a really good portrayal of what a soldier in Iraq must be going through.

Funny - I found myself saying in my head "JUST SHOOT HIM ALREADY" in scenes where, if the soldiers did shoot, there would probably be an article about it in the paper and I would have read that article and said to myself "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING".

I will definitely think twice before ever judging the actions taken during war times.

    Very Good War Movie

Im a big fan of war movies and the best modern war movie ive ever seen was black hawk down but id say this is the second best one ive seen. I reccomend seeing this movie because of how realistic it is and the great suspense.

    Best Movie of the Year

This movie does take place in Iraq and shows Americans fighting and dying. That might sound bad to some people, but the movie depicts soldiers in the most accurate way I have ever seen in film. They are your friends, loved ones, and, more often, the men and women you do not know at all who are fighting a war on our behalf.

Although the movie tells the story of elite bomb squad members, it is not hard to see that any soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan faces a brutal battlefield. You cannot watch the movie without thinking of all the young and older members of the military who are volunteers and are stuck over in these miserable countries to fight.

I cannot remember any movie that kept me on the edge of my seat from the first moment to the end. The heroics were not your usual made-up crap of movies and TV where people do impossible things and, depending on the hoped for audience, die bloody fake deaths.

Yesterday was 9/11. Please go see this movie. Maybe twice or more.

    The Hurt Locker

This is a fantastic movie. I was leery of seeing a war movie even though I am a military officer. It is more a story of teamwork and the human experience but set in Iraq in 2004. The makers do not politicize the war, it is militarily accurate and there is a refreshing absence of stereotypes as well as an absence of gratuitous violence. In fact, if gore difficult for you, you can still see this. They do a wonderful job of illustrating a scene while showing respect for the humans in the film.
Americans should see this movie so that no matter your opinion of what is happening overseas, you get a good look at what it is like for your fellow citizens who are there.
I hope this film receives the awards it deserves.
