  Exciting and Provoking

  This movie was historically interesting, suspenseful and thought provoking. It brings to life what happens to war criminals and what is covered up by certain governmental entities. What do we really know and what are we being told to believe?

  The Hunting Party

  Outstanding cinematography, including outdoor views of the Balkan countryside. Richard Gere and Terrence Howard seem to work well together, although Howard is underused. James Brolin's news reader character is handsome and dim. Theme of genocide and other war crimes does not lend itself to black humor, and some of the plot contrivances challenge believability. Nevertheless, the cinematography and leads make a trip to a local cinema worthwhile.

  The Hunting Party

  The beginning seems slow and one almost feels like giving up but don't leave!The last 20 minutes are worth everything. This is a movie that gets better and better. Despite there being too much Richard Gere. All other characters are wonderful, and very funny.

  Well done but contains unnessary illegal drug use not listed in ratings

  The movie is well done, full of adventure and filmed nicely. I just see no reason why they have to have all the illegal drug use and references. When I mention this, a lot of people click "Not Helpful" but the fact is illegal drugs are a problem and product placement works. I have no objection to showing illegal drugs if there is any artistic merit. Check my positive review of "Harsh Times" which has non-stop drug use. But there was no artistic need to show drug use in this movie. This has been the summer for movies showing drugs for no reason. How many of you know this became epidemic in the early 80's and it stopped when Ronald Reagan contacted the heads of the major movie studios and asked them to stop it? Drug use plummeted after that. Clearly we can?t depend Bush to the same. But maybe no one cares if our young people are force fed drugs. After all, Bush was alleged to be a drunk and coke-head but he still became president and we all see how well that?s working out.
