I went to the premier of Catching Fire along with some friends that had read the books, most of us hadn't read the books. The movie was really good, it kept moving, there weren't really any times where it felt like the movie was going too slow or I felt I didn't understand something. Those in my group that read the books felt the movie followed the books pretty closely and were not disappointed. I would definitely see this movie again and plan on buying it when it comes out. 2 in my group already had tickets to opening night and are excited to see it again.

Loved this movie. It was a great sequel. This is def a must see movie. The story line was great and the characters were even better. The graffics and fight scenes were awesome. I just love the hunger games. You will not be disappointed spending money to go see this one it was well worth it!!! I took my 12 year old niece to see this movie and she loved it!

I loved the fact it took it right back to where the first movie left off and followed the book pretty good. Also it left you wanting the next movie to hurry and come out. Can't wait for it.

Catching Fire

Having loved the three books and having thoroughly enjoyed the first Hunger Games movie, I had eagerly awaited Catching Fire. Of the three books, I thought, this one would provide the MOST opportunity for exciting filmmaking. Wow, was I disappointed! The movie was slow -- boring, even. The emotional richness and character depth of the first movie were missing. The characters seemed wooden and resigned as they slogged through their lines. Scenes that could have been poignant or exciting were rushed through, as if the production crew had a checklist of things that happened in the book and just needed to make sure each was represented, no matter how flittingly. It seemed almost like a documentary. Look at Katniss on the movie poster; even she looks bored! Anyone who has not seen the first movie will be lost; there is, for example, not even a mention of what the Hunger Games are. Maybe my expectations were just too high; lowering yours somewhat might enable you to enjoy this movie more.

As a fan of any book series you rarely are impressed by the movie sequels. I didn't set high hopes for Catching Fire because I was disappointed in Hunger Games due to the lack of SO many important details. I was very very impressed with the movie, they did an amazing job! There were definitely tears shed and high adrenaline scream moments. They did a fantastic job and its far better than the first movie. Its a definite go see!!!! I can't wait to see it again and for Mocking Jay to come out as well :)
