Just as slow as the first

I will give them credit for following the book more, but once again the movie is drawn out too much and takes for god damn ever to get to the good parts. I don't get what all the fuss is about this series. Katniss has not a lot of redeeming qualities and nor do I believe that Peeta does either. I found myself waiting for the movie to end rather than end too quickly. Wouldn't be surprised if Part III is as dull as these two.

This sequel, in my opinion, is better than first movie. Without a doubt, it definitely messed with my emotions. I love the director in this movie and I can't wait to see what he does with the Mockingjay movies!

The movie had some great scenes that was rather exciting and thrilling However, I personally think that the first Hunger Games was a lot better compared to this one. Overall, in my opinion I would say that it was an okay movie.

Emotional Overload

If you're a fan of the books, or if you liked the first movie, you're obviously going to go watch this movie, if you haven't already. But let me tell you, as much as the books were an emotional roller coaster ride, they don't quite compare to when you're watching it all happen on the big screen. This movie is pretty epic in its own right, but not as much as the first one. Instead, it focuses more on setting the stage for the real battle. It has a lot of action towards the end, but you'll have to wait through about an hour or so of pure character-driven story; which isn't a bad thing. The actors really bring their A-Game to this movie, especially Jennifer Lawrence. And the special effects really made the world in this movie pop. Personally, I feel this movie was a bit dark and depressing for the kids, or the kids at heart. But then, it is a part of the series, so I guess the little ones will have to sit through it if they want to find out what happens at the end.
