Catastrophically Bad
I'd say the film-makers hadn't even read the book, but Stephanie Meyer produced it herself, so honestly, there's no excuse for the truly horrific butchering of this story.
The book was richly detailed, full of insight into the human state, and the character development was nothing short of inspiring. The movie however is devoid of anything even remotely interesting, intelligent or insightful. The acting was at best, uninteresting, and at worst simply pathetic.
I can't see how anyone can possibly rate this as even remotely entertaining. Even the special effects were mediocre. The best part of the film was the popcorn.
If you go to this, know that it's two hours of your life you'll never get back.
