if at best this is a science fiction movie that not everyone will like but compared to twilight its not that bad. if fact i would also say some people who see this will absolutely miss the point in what going on in this movie. it all depends on your attention span. in a way i rather see this as a tv series then a movie.

Great representation of the book

I had really liked the book so I was excited when I found out they were making it into a movie. I was lucky to have bought the tickets before seeing that Rotten Tomato website had only given this movie 10% like. Normally my husband and I would not see a movie if the reviews were horrible, but they were wrong about this movie. The only reason I can see as to why it got bad reviews is because the reviewers were expecting a Twilight sequel. Even though these stories were from the same author, they are completely different. My husband had not read the book but still liked the movie. I would recommend going, especially if you liked the book.

No words.

I have no words for how horrifically bad this movie was. It had absolutely nothing to do with the book, the acting was terrible, the plot was out of order, and there were vital scenes missing. There were only two good scenes I can remember that were just like the book: the dead soul/ Wanda screaming scene and the "MONTHS LATER" epilogue. Don't waste your time. If you do, at least you'll get a good laugh.

Read The Book-Disappointment(Small Spoilers)

I read the book in a matter of a day. I absolutely LOVED it, and was very excited to see the movie. Okay, so I go see it. I hate almost everything about it. It was very* rushed first of all. There was no time at all to even begin to like the characters. In the book, it took a very long time to begin to trust Wanda, but in the movie, it seemed like in a matter of the same day they were totally okay with their very enemy to be living under the same roof and not question it at all. Ian seemed to fall in love after 2 quick conversations. And they also skipped a lot of scenes that made the story as good as it is! And the ones they chose to show, they modified it to where it was ruined really. Wanda/Melanie's actress did wonderful other than the voicing. Sounded very cheesy. Script's fault though. As of acting, Maggie, Jeb, and Ian did wonderful as well, but they didn't have much to work with really. The scenery was beautiful and mostly fitted to the book. I wish I hadn't seen it really.

The movie followed the book pretty closely, with a few minor detail changes. Overall I thought it was good! The action scenes were exciting and the actors did a great job portraying the qualities of the characters. We loved it!
