Honestly I am probably not the best person to review a movie... IF you are looking for the very critical type review that delve into the details of camera angles and character buildups etc....
I really enjoyed this movie... it was alot of run to watch and I like the action sequences... I think the dragon was very well done.

The movie was alright, but I initially had bought tickets for AMC Lincoln Square because it was the only theater that had IMAX and not IMAX 3D. Alas, as we got to the theater we were handed 3D glasses and that was a bitter disappointment. The 3D in the movie gave me a headache, it's too long a movie to put your eyes through such a rough time. I recommend to go see it in regular, plain old format, don't bother with the 3D it's just a more expensive ticket and a lesser experience.

The movie is longer than it needs to be. It's not one long book into a long movie like the rest of the LOTR series. It's one small book streched over three movies because the movie studio wanted to make more money, hence the story and the fun sufferes greatly.
While LOTR was an epic story arch series, with a cultire to back it, The Hobbit feels like a distant stepchild forced to live up to the grandiose glory of its older sibling (paradox) and any movie in history will fail to accomplish that (Even Peter Jackson can't outdo himself here). The Hobbit series does not need to be three 3-hour long movies.
All in all it a good enjoyable movie.

The second part to the Hobbit was simply amazing. It definitely did not disappoint. I give it 5 stars out of 5 stars!
