The movie was excellent! Beautiful panoramic scenes and overall great story telling. I did take my 8 year old son with me who really enjoyed the movie he thought there were a couple of scary parts but nothing that kept him awake at night. Enjoy!

I saw all three of the original motion pictures for LOTR in theaters, so needless to say I'm going to do the same for The Hobbit. The Hobbit movies focus on some small details that the original films don't. Such as the finding and and naming of the different weaponry some of the characters use. This is an excellent film with great special effects, and I look forward to the conclusion.

Not as good as the first one. Flashback opener is good, but after that the movie has no beginning, no end, and no discernable plot inbetween. But it does seem to loosely hint at a book that Tolkien once wrote.

Great movie and the special effects were great!! The Dragon is so realistic and the spiders wanted to make me scream. I hate spiders so those really just about did me in. The sceanery and the actors are amazing. These movies just get better and better but I wish it wouldn't take a whole year for the next installment, it is just too long to wait.

How the hell, Mr. Jackson, do you wake up in the morning and say, "Well, this is the 7th best-selling book of all time, known and loved by generations of people universally across the world. It's sold more copies than "Huckleberry Finn," "The Great Gatsby," "The Grapes of Wrath," and "War and Peace" COMBINED. Guess that means I'd better add a bunch of stuff and fix it. Obviously, it's not good enough, and I'm the right man to improve upon it!" What kind of ego does it take to say that? Respect the original material, Jackson. You've clearly forgotten this story is not about you.
