Disappointed, frankly. Loved the cinematography and special effects, but the story seemed a little too "forced" this time around to be completely enjoyable.

I was so scared going in to The Hobbit in IMAX due to the things that I had heard about the 4fps HD. I was scared for no reason, it looked phenomenal! I only noticed two scenes in the entire movie that were blatantly digital creations or enhanced. Otherwise, the film still ;looked like a LOTR film. I am going to go see it in a regular theater this week to have a good comparison. I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves the other LOTR films, and for those who have not seen the other films.

I believe I would have enjoyed the movie more in the standard presentation. The HFR 3D presentation reminded me of the old viewmaster discs but instead of having to click for the next picture, the frames were strung together in film format. Very distracting. I would like to see HFR without 3D.

Highly recommended. Must watch in IMAX 3D. Suitable for people of all ages.

The movie was exciting and outstanding in the IMAX 3D High Frame Rate. Life like. Can't wait for the continuation of the trilogy.
