This was my second time seeing the Hobbit:AUJ. First time I saw it was in 3-D awesome, this past time I saw it was regular, and I will see it again. I have seen all the Hobbit movies and I am there biggest fan!

To all those who say that Peter Jackson should shorten the movies, I point out all the dreck that has been produced in the past and has absolutely taken the soul out of the movie (Da Vinci Code anyone ...). The movie is magnificent, the backgrounds are superb and the action is exactly what you expect. If you have see The Lord of The Rings Trilogy but did not read the books, then this explains much of the background ... if, like me, you read all the books a long time ago then the movies paint and reinforce the images in your mind ... Love the movie and cannot wait for the next part ...

An AMAZING movie! However, it was the first movie I had seen in over a year and had forgotten the etiquette of not talking during the movie... So to everyone at Sandhills Cinema 16 aud 7, the 9:30 showing 12/15/12, I'm horribly sorry for ruining it for you....

Acting is good, cinematography good, effects good but the story and dialogue are mediocre at best. Nowhere near the quality of Lord of the Rings. I was definitely disappointed and bored. They were trying too hard and should have made one Great movie instead of 3 movies to make money. All action and no quality.

The LOTR films were to right, correct tone and feel.
The Hobbit should have been much lighter in feel.
It felt like the Hobbit is just a continuation of LOTR, to the point that it felt like they used the same shots for the film.
To long and to dark for what it should have been.
